Nominations for the 2018 ISPA Awards
Just a short time ago, ISPA (the Internet Service Providers Association) announced the full shortlist for this year’s ISPA Awards, a fantastic event celebrating the very best ISPs across the UK - we’re extremely proud to have been nominated for two major awards at this year’s event!
This year, the 20th annual ISPA Awards, we’ve been shortlisted for both the Best Business Broadband award and the award for Best Project or Partnership, two of the most important awards relevant to Exa’s work - a fantastic set of nominations. On this page, we’re taking a quick look at the awards, and why we’ve been nominated for them.
The ISPA Awards really are the single most important awards ceremony for companies like Exa, representing the real cream of the crop when it comes to Internet services. Over the years, we’ve won several ISPA Awards, and been nominated for many more, including multiple Customer Service awards, nominations for DarkLight, and far more.
Why we’re shortlisted for this year’s ISPA Awards
This year, we’ve been shortlisted for two incredible ISPA Awards:
Best Business Broadband: Designed as the single last Internet connection any business will ever need to install, DarkLight is an incredibly advanced service option, delivering ultrafast, symmetrical and uncontended speeds starting at 300 Mbps (with 10 Gbps available on all lines) via a unique dark fibre network, giving customers the ability to change speeds at practically any point, while costing significantly less than practically any other ultrafast service on the market today - some major advantages for businesses.
Best Project or Partnership: Over the last year, we’ve been working extensively with Leeds Beckett University to support their University Business Centre programme. Essentially, the University Business Centres are fantastic co-working spaces for startup businesses located around the Leeds City Region (with centres in Leeds, Wakefield and more), providing companies with effective guidance, great networking opportunities, and vital early years support. We’re providing all of the university’s business centres with our DarkLight connectivity, giving the emerging businesses they house access to truly world-class Internet, an important factor for emerging companies.
We’d also like to congratulate those of our partners and friends nominated for this year’s ISPA Awards, particularly our rural fibre partners at Gigaclear (shortlisted for Best Rural Broadband, while CEO Matthew Hare picks up a nomination for Executive of the Year), and the fantastic IWF (Internet Watch Foundation), shortlisted for the 20th Anniversary Award, a category celebrating the longest-running ISPs and organisations around.
With the awards taking place on the 12th of July in Manchester’s fantastic Midland Hotel, we’re looking forward to a great night - watch this space for more information about the awards and our services.
