Discovering May 2017
Throughout May, we started preparing the final steps for our #exabytes17 conference. First running in 2016, our #exabytes conference is a fantastic one-day event aimed at giving teachers the chance to explore ways in which technology, typically freely available, can benefit them, run by our not-for-profit exa.foundation.
Every day in May, we shared a different reason to attend #exabytes, from the low cost to the incredible sessions on show and the absolute absence of sales pitches at the conference. In a couple of days, we’ll be looking through #exabytes17 itself - stay tuned!
Along with our #exabytes prep, a whole lot happened through May - we were accepted in the the Government’s G-Cloud framework, allowing us to sell our Cloud-based SurfProtect services to government-related organisations in a far more simple way than previously possible.
Beyond this, we picked up a fantastic four nominations for the ISPA Awards, the industry-leading awards ceremony for ISPs. While we didn’t end up taking any of the awards home this year, we’re particularly proud that our DarkLight service was shortlisted for the Best Superfast Broadband award, firmly placing it as one of the absolute best connectivity options available in the UK.
