March 2017 events for Exa Networks
With future-proof DarkLight really taking off wherever it’s available, we’ve spent a lot of 2017 working to expand our dark fibre network to new areas. In March, we were able to launch DarkLight in the first of these new cities - Wakefield.
Spanning a huge section of Wakefield, running through the city centre through the majority of business areas, our DarkLight network is now making a real difference for companies and schools across the city - a particularly major advantage in Wakefield, where broadband speeds are still some of the slowest in the UK.
Since launching in Wakefield, we’ve been able to reach a whole lot of schools and businesses, particularly Leeds Beckett University’s brand new Digital Hub in Wakefield, set to run a preview event later on today in advance of opening their fantastic combination office space/ business support centre in January.
Along with our Wakefield expansion for DarkLight, our team headed down to the very first Bett Academies show, a spin-off event from the Bett Show itself, designed to highlight the many unique roles that education technology can play inside an academy or multi-academy trust.
