Thanks from #exabytes17!
We’ve just wrapped up everything from this year’s #exabytes conference, and we’re proud to have run another successful event for teachers across the country. With a whole lot of educators heading down to Bradford’s Midland Hotel for a full day of great sessions covering a huge range of useful and effective material, #exabytes17 was definitely a resounding success - in this review, we’re taking a look at just what made it so special.
From the start, #exabytes is all about the attendees. We’re dedicated to cutting out the disguised sales pitches and over-commercialisation that negatively affects a lot of other edtech conferences, ensuring that absolutely every presentation is about a genuinely useful subject, voted on by those visiting the show. As such, we were happy to see a lot of last year’s attendees return to #exabytes17, and to see some fantastic feedback from social media.
This year, we were able to run a completely full programme for #exabytes, with 30 full on sessions along with keynote and plenary sessions, covering many important areas - take a look at our programme below!
The best of #exabytes17
With so much going on throughout the day at #exabytes17, it’s hard to pick out the very best parts of the conference, but we’ve picked out some fantastic parts from this year’s conference - check out the Twitter #exabytes17 hashtag to see more! We’ll also be putting together a couple more posts looking through the sessions we visited at this year’s show - watch this space for the next few days!
What’s next for #exabytes
We’re proud to announce that #exabytes will be returning to the Midland Hotel for another great year in 2018, with the show set to run on Friday the 29th June! With a little over a year to go before the conference returns, it’s hard to say just what kind of topics we’ll see being explored at next year’s show, but we’ll be working to make #exabytes18 another truly fantastic event - stay tuned for more!
While the next #exabytes is a way off, our exa.foundation will be continuing to run a fantastic series of exabits throughout the year. Exabits are typically smaller-scale events than #exabytes itself, ranging from teacher CPD events to hack jams for students and families - head over to our upcoming events page to find out more about our next exabits!
