Catching up with last year at Exa Networks

Take a look through our recent news

Last Thursday, right before our fantastic #exabytes18 conference, Exa Networks hosted a major event for our partners, resellers and those we work with, designed to take a full look back at the major achievements and news we’ve had over the last year, while exploring some of the major events set to take place across the next few months.

Whether you weren’t able to attend the event or want to find out more about everything that’s been going on at Exa, we’ve put together this post to recap some of the key points from our partner event. However, with a lot of confidential material having been explored at the event, we’d recommend getting in touch with your account manager to find out more!

Developing Relationships: Across the last year, we’ve worked to build up some key relationships with organisations like CityFibre, the DCMS, and Leeds Beckett University, marking some fantastic achievements from the further spread of DarkLight connectivity to our support for the gigabit connectivity voucher scheme and the University Business Centre programme.

Community Portal: In the next few months, we’re set to launch an all-new community portal, giving partners a single point of reference for all news, tickets, marketing material and more.

Customer Relationship Team: We’ve recently launched a new part of our organisation - the CRT department! We’re always looking to give our customers a better experience, so we’ve added this team to directly liaise with those buying services from Exa (as well as partners), improving the order process, running performance checks and carrying out satisfaction surveys.

SurfProtect Quantum: Following the launch of two new features to add an additional level of customisability to our content filtering service (blog to follow), SurfProtect Quantum is now officially out of early access, and has been officially launched.

Supporting New and Proven Tech: At our partner events, we always invite a range of third parties, from organisations whose services we provide (this year, D-Link, NetSupport and Wildix) to companies whose services we expect to significantly take off in the coming years - here, Chargifi, developers of a new approach to furniture-integrated wireless charging services.

Moving Forward at Exa Networks

We’ve got a huge amount planned for the next year at Exa Networks. In the coming weeks, we’re heading on down to the ISPA Awards, where we’re shortlisted for both the Best Business Broadband award for our advanced DarkLight connectivity, and the Best Project or Partnership award for the great work we’ve been doing with Leeds Beckett University.

As the market leaders for dark fibre, we’re proud to have made a real difference for schools and businesses across the UK, particularly through Yorkshire. Throughout the next few years, we’ll be developing our work even further, with major developments bringing DarkLight connectivity to thousands more organisations able to benefit from ultrafast connectivity.

While a lot of these areas are confidential for the moment, we can announce that West Sussex is set to be the next DarkLight region, with construction set to begin this August. As the first project awarded courtesy of the government’s Local Full Fibre Network investment, DarkLight West Sussex is set to be a real national leader when it comes to demonstrating the genuinely real benefits of world-class connectivity in education and business.

In the coming months, we’re also looking to introduce an all-new option for ultrafast connectivity, built to ensure that as many organisations as possible can minimise costs while improving their performance.
